Junior Police Academy

The Ewing Police Youth Academy is a unique and exciting one week program where kids have the opportunity to interact with professional policemen throughout the course and see into the day of a policeman. Additionally, the kids have the opportunity to evaluate early in life if this is a field they would like to enter.
Whether your child watches police shows on television, is excited every time he or she sees a policeman,or simply loves the profession and respects the badge, at the Ewing Junior Police Academy, kids will have the opportunity to acquire first-hand knowledge and hands on interaction with those in the profession.

Children attending the Ewing Junior Police Academy will explore the difference services offered by the profession. They will be considered recruits and have the opportunity to experience 5 days of police training developed specifically for Police Academy training.

In addition to the services and responsibilities that make up the profession of law enforcement, the recruits also experience crime scene techniques, car searches, obstacle courses, and are afforded other experiences that involve law enforcement tools.
