The Ewing Youth Police Academy 2025 Welcomes Students Interested in Law Enforcement

The Ewing Police Department Youth Police Academy is now accepting applications for the 2025 Youth Police Academy. 

Ewing Township youth ages 10 - 14 are invited to come and learn about the duties and responsibilities of a Ewing Township Police Officer.  Our goal is to form positive partnerships between the youth of our community and the Police Department.

The Youth Academy will be held at Ewing Police Department during the week of August 25th. Classes will consist of seven (7) hours of instruction from 8:30 am until 3:30 pm.  For the duration of that week.    The class dates are as follows:

  • Session 1 Monday August 25, 2025, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Session 2 Tuesday August 26, 2025, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Session 3 Wednesday August 27, 2025, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Session 4 Thursday August 28, 2025, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Session 5 Friday August 28, 2025, 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM (Graduation follows)

PARTICIPANTS MUST ATTEND ALL CLASSES TO GRADUATE!

Youth will have the opportunity to interact closely with police officers through activities such as physical training, search and arrest techniques, crime scene processing, K9 and drone demos, and much, much more. Participants will receive a T-shirt and hat to wear as part of their “uniform.” Graduates will take an oath and receive certificates of completion during the celebratiopoliceyouthacademy2025n at the conclusion of the program.is a program designed to provide its participants with firsthand knowledge of the duties and responsibilities that are required of a Ewing Police Officer.

The Youth Police Academy will involve classroom activities, hands-on techniques, field trips, and police demonstrations. Some of the topics that will be covered include arrest procedures, criminal law, basic first aid, building searches, car accident investigations, crime scene investigations, fire safety, motor vehicle stops, and a museum visit.

All instruction, demonstrations and presentations will be administered and supervised by officers from the Ewing Township Police Department.

Class size is limited to the first 20 applicants. A waiting list will be formed with the remaining applications. It is important to complete and return your registration form as soon as possible. The applications must be returned ASAP. Return completed application form to:
